Pragya “Save a Life” Initiative
Blood Donation Camp (Noida, June 1st, 2011)
Pragya Family truly stepped forward as
…a hand that heals… a heart that feels… a power that shields. Thousands
of people need Blood every second across the nation.
Pragya understands the value of reaching Blood to victims on time.
One ordinary day became special when a Pragya
employee received a request for
“Saving a Life” through Blood Donation on E mail. A needy
Cancer Patient in AIIMS was in urgent need of Platelets. It is this need that
inspired Pragya to initiate a
Blood Donation Camp which would allow Pragya to reach out to many more
who may need Blood.
Pragya endeavours to make the life of every individual better
and with this thought several members from
Pragya family moved voluntarily to donate blood taking their commitment a
step further.
In order to extend aid to such patients who cannot afford to pay the processing
Fee for Units of Blood from Blood Banks, a Blood
Donation Camp was organized in the Office premises of Pragya Channel on
Wednesday 1st June.
A team from LIONS BLOOD BANK was called to the
Pragya office. 45 persons from
Pragya staff displayed heartening enthusiasm as they came
forward voluntarily to Donate Blood. 33 Units of Blood
were collected and handed over to the
LIONS Blood Bank.
Donating Blood is one of the most wonderful gifts that we can give to anyone, a
gift that can never be repaid and one that stays with them for their entire
lifetime. The pleasure one gets in making hearts smile is an unmatched feeling.
Pragya initiative proved successful when two lives benefitted
from the Blood donated in the Camp soon after.
Come let’s together spread health and happiness in the world. Breathe life into
fellow beings. Donate Blood. We cannot to live only for ourselves. A thousand
fibers connect us with our fellow men. And there is no such thing as a small act
of kindness. Every effort counts.
Indeed it feels good to do good. To do something for someone who
will never be able to repay you.
